Day in My Life + Decor Updates (Christmas Edition)

Hey guys!! Today’s post is a pretty exciting one. I’m going to be walking you through my day yesterday and showing you some behind the scenes of how I spent the day preparing for Christmas.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in. I hope you enjoy the post.

I woke up yesterday morning at my parents’ house (yes, although I moved out, I still go spend the night from time to time). My mom made breakfast (oh and hot tea for me because I’m not feeling my absolute best).

I love this mug! Who else is a firm believer of this bible verse?!

After spending time with them yesterday morning, I came home, showered, listened to Christmas music, and got ready for the day.

Fun fact: I love all kinds of Christmas music, but soulful Christmas music is by far my favorite.

Listen to my Christmas playlist on Spotify HERE (not a complete list but pretty close) ☺️

Later on, my mom and I finished up our Christmas shopping for the kiddos. Everything we got them is from Walmart.

I snapped a couple pictures while shopping:

Shopping for the kiddos is always so exciting for me. As I’ve gotten older, I put a lot of focus on them for Christmas and making sure they’re happy and have the things they need (and want).

Next year I think I’ll do a Christmas gift guide for kids. I’m sure that’ll be super helpful for you parents.

I ended the day by making Christmas cookies and just relaxing and watching YouTube.

I love how easy these are. They’re pre-cut so you literally just put them on a baking tray and pop them in the oven.

^Right before I put them in the oven. If you’re curious, I got them from Walmart, and they’re pretty good. There’s a cute little activity on the back of the box that you can do with kids.

Another fun fact: sugar cookies are my fav!! 😍

Before I end the post, I want to share our Christmas decor. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to putting up a Christmas tree this year (I know—such a bummer). It’s been a very busy month; however, I did put up a few decorations. Mind you, we’re still getting things for the place and still have to hang curtains, find a rug that we like, etc. (it’s a process, but it’s coming along).

Btw- I’m only showing parts of the sectional because our living room reveal is coming soon! 😌
